Visit the East Tennessee InfraGard Website! The East Tennessee Chapter of Infragard program is a partnership of businesses, the Department of Homeland Security, the FBI, educational entities and the National Infrastructure Protection Center. Located in Knoxville, our mission is to enable a flow of alliance with law enforcement to strengthen out national infrastructure against potential attacks. InfraGard was formed as part of the federal government's effort to protect the nation's critical infrastructure systems. It is endeavoring to function as a national clearinghouse of information about security intrusions, hacks, vulnerabilities, and to offer tools to help detect, isolate, and prevent attacks.

Members are linked to each other and to the FBI by the bureau's secure "alert network." Companies can anonymously report incidents to all other members without fear of publicizing their vulnerability. The FBI provides encryption software to protect information exchange among members. The National Infrastructure Protection Center will use data gathered from different InfraGard chapters to compile reports on nationwide security trends. As Security risk grows the InfraGard program is becoming the FBI's front-line of defense.

All InfraGard members receive a $100 discount per course, and Tennessee members recieve an additional $100 off if registering for both courses (Maximum discount allowed is $500, provided registration is approved at least 7 days in advance).
