Student Financial Aid
Provisions of the Higher Education Amendments of 1976 require each post-secondary institution make student aid information available to any enrolled or prospective student who requests such information. Information to help students determine eligibility for financial assistance is available by appointment in the Financial Aid Office.

To determine if you are eligible to receive aid, you should follow these steps:
Accurately complete the "Free Application for Federal Student Aid" (FAFSA). Applications may be obtained at the College, or online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. It is recommended that you have assistance from the College's financial aid department to expedite the process.
Approximately five days after filing electronically, schedule an appointment with the financial aid officer to determine the amount of aid you are awarded, if any, and/or the amount of loan(s) you may be eligible to receive. You may be required to verify the information you recorded on the application ("verification").
If you are "selected for verification," you will be required to provide certain documents so that the school can verify the data on your application. Rules and procedures will need to be observed concerning the documents you are asked to bring to the College. Examples are as follows:
You will be responsible and required to provide any requested document within 90 days of signing the application for financial aid and before any aid can be awarded. You will be informed in writing as to the documentation needed and the deadline by which you must provide it. In the event that you fail to provide the required documentation within the specified time period, additional documentation may be required. Remember that no aid is awarded prior to completion of the verification process. The College will notify you in writing of the results of verification within 30 days after all documentation is received. If you are required to correct information, the College will instruct you through the process. Again, federal and state aid will not be awarded or delivered until the process is complete. It could delay your starting date if you must make corrections.
Remember:
Accurately complete the application.
Read and understand all instructions, certifications and responsibilities.
Apply only for the amount of aid needed for school.
Financial Aid received is first applied to school expenses, with any excess given to the student.
Aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
To preserve financial aid eligibility, students must maintain satisfactory academic progress and must reapply for aid each academic year.
Call the Financial Aid Officer if you have any questions concerning your financial aid.
